Widgets are little programmes embedded in your website or blog to enhance its outlook and increase its utilities. The following widgets will help you lead a healthy and successful life! So you may please copy the code and paste them on to the HTML of your system, the brain.
1.Green tea.: Having it first thing in the morning without adding milk or sugar will keep you fresh and agile throughout the day. It is a nature's gift to invigorate your brain and the whole metabolic system as the anti-oxidants and may be some other undiscovered particles work out the magic to give you a feel-fresh look throughout the day. For the Chennaiets who are used to the strong flavour of lactated coffee , it is a bit difficult in the beginning to gulp it down but you had the same experience when you tried your first beg of hard drink. Have it and feel the difference!
2.Morning walk: Gone are the days when only the rich and the retired govt. officers were seen to be walking along the well paved side walks along the Marina beach in the morning. Now you can find cute young girls and corporate bigwigs arriving in the latest cars to the beach and after parking the cars, walk or jog along the beach. It is the right time to socialize with a leading politician and a busy corporate head as you can find them in a pleasant and amiable mood. The cool breeze, less noise, nourishing ozone and the company of sensible people buzzing around will not only refresh your body but also your drained out mind. Ask any healthy and well groomed person and he will tell you that walking is the secret of his energy.
3.Vipasana: Vipasana is closely associated with meditation. I avoided the term meditation because it is usually associated with sitting cross legged and reminiscing over the bulging ridges of Namitha mami. Vipasana is a very simple exercise but very effective to relieve you from stress. How do you do that?
Shut your eyes and forget yourself. Erase any thought popping out in your mind with a mental brush and imagine your mind as a clean slate. You should be totally unconscious about everything but your own breathing. Let the involuntary exercise become voluntary and you must focus all your attention to this one action. When you do this an amazing thing happens to your body. Your system inhales more oxygen without your knowledge and as your body is infused with extra dozes of oxygen you feel very light and refreshed. To know more visit http://www.tamil.dhamma.org
4. Moderate food : God has not gifted us with the stomach of a cow which takes in as much food it wants and digests it later on at its will. We are destined to take in only about half the quantity of the food which we normally helps ourselves with during the buffet dinners. The excessive food turns into slow poison which gradually ushers in the unwanted guests of diabetes and B.P. into our system and finally the Heart Attack, the queen of all diseases walks in regally on the red carpet we have laid out for her. The origin of almost all disorders of our body can be sourced to the excess food we take with very high calories. Eat like a beggar and walk like the King.
5. Golden Mean: Driving in top gear all the time is very bad for both your vehicle and your life. You may have all the talents of A.R.Rahman, Nandan Nikelani, Mukesh Ambani and the like and an ambition to reach the top of the corporate ladder at any cost. But it is always better to keep a low profile having reserve energy to be exerted when it is required at the most precious moment. Exhausting all your energy on your career and enhancement of material wealth will ultimately ruin your career as well as your life. If you have followed the life of some of the celebrities in the city or in the world who have reached never-before heights in their career, you may find that they have ended up as total wrecks in their personal life and also lost their career as well. You must find time to balance your life between your career and a clean hobby. Playing with children, laughing and making fun of yourself will endear you to your loving kith and your office staff. It will also help you to let off the steam of the pressures of modern life.
In short don't play life like 20/20 cricket. Play it like a test match where standing at the crease is more important than getting more runs because in life, if the umpire raises his hand, you are out for ever!
Have a good day and lead a meaningful life!
